On the Road to Emmaus

On Easter Sunday evening, two disciples were walking from Jerusalem to a village called Emmaus, sad and confused. A stranger joined them and explained the Scriptures to them — how the Messiah had to suffer and rise. When they reached the village, they invited Him to stay. At supper, He took bread, blessed it, broke it — and they recognized Him! It was Jesus. Then He vanished.
