About This Devotion
The Stations of the Cross is a devotion that traces Jesus's journey from His condemnation to His burial. It has been practiced since the early centuries, when pilgrims walked the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem. By the Middle Ages, the fourteen stations were established in churches throughout the world so that anyone, anywhere, could make this spiritual pilgrimage.
This devotion is especially popular during Lent and on Fridays. It takes approximately 20–30 minutes.
