The Last Supper

Jesus shares His Body and Blood with His apostles for the first time.
The Story
On the night before He died, Jesus gathered His twelve apostles for a Passover meal. He took bread, blessed it, broke it, and gave it to them, saying, 'This is my Body.' He took the cup and said, 'This is my Blood.' He told them: 'Do this in memory of me.' That night the Eucharist began, and the priesthood, and the commandment of love.
The Lesson
At every Mass, the Last Supper is made present. Jesus gives Himself to us as food, just as He did to the apostles that night.
