The Burning Bush
Exodus 3–4
God speaks to Moses from a bush that burns without burning up.
The Story
While tending sheep in the desert, Moses saw something strange: a bush that was on fire but was not burning up. As he came closer, God spoke from the flames: 'Take off your sandals, for you are standing on holy ground. I have seen the suffering of my people. I am sending you to free them.' Moses was afraid, but God promised: 'I will be with you.'
The Lesson
God speaks to us in surprising ways. When He calls, He always promises: 'I will be with you.'
