Saint Mary Magdalene

Mary Magdalene was a woman Jesus healed from seven demons. After that, she followed Jesus everywhere, along with the other disciples. She helped pay for Jesus and the apostles' food and travel. She stood at the foot of the Cross when Jesus died. Very early on Easter morning, while it was still dark, she went to Jesus' tomb with spices to anoint His body. But the stone was rolled away! The tomb was empty! She was crying in the garden when a man spoke to her. She thought He was the gardener — until He said her name, 'Mary.' She knew that voice! It was JESUS, risen from the dead! Mary Magdalene became the first person ever to see the risen Jesus. She ran and told the apostles. The Church calls her 'the apostle to the apostles.'
