Pentecost

Ten days after the Ascension, the apostles and Mary were gathered in the upper room in prayer. Suddenly a sound like a mighty rushing wind filled the house. Tongues of fire appeared and rested on each one of them. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began preaching in many languages. That day, Peter preached to the crowds, and three thousand people were baptized. The Church was born.
