Bl. Carlo Acutis
Patron of the Internet
Feast Day: October 12
Biography
Blessed Carlo Acutis (1991–2006) was an Italian teenager who combined deep Catholic faith with a passion for technology. From the time of his First Communion at age seven, he attended Mass daily and prayed the Rosary. He used his considerable computer skills to create a website cataloging Eucharistic miracles from around the world — a project that has since become a traveling exhibition displayed in parishes globally. He called the Eucharist 'my highway to heaven.' Despite his privileged background, he lived with striking simplicity, saving his allowance for the homeless and defending bullied classmates. He was diagnosed with leukemia and offered his sufferings for the Pope and for the Church. He died on October 12, 2006, at age fifteen. His body was found largely incorrupt. He was beatified by Pope Francis on October 10, 2020, in Assisi, and is expected to be canonized soon. He is often called the 'patron of the internet' and speaks powerfully to young Catholics today.

Prayer
Bl. Carlo Acutis, you showed that holiness is possible for young people today. Help me to use technology for God's glory and to make the Eucharist the center of my life. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Asking for Intercession
Catholics ask saints to pray with us and for us, as we ask friends on earth. Bl. Carlo Acutis, who lives in God's presence, intercedes before His throne. Speak from your heart: “Bl. Carlo Acutis, please pray for me…” You may also pray the prayer above or include this intention in your Rosary.
