Prayer Before Mass
Preparing your heart for Mass.
Almighty and eternal God,
I am about to come to the altar
where Your Son Jesus Christ
becomes truly present
under the appearances of bread and wine.
Quiet my heart.
Open my ears to hear Your Word.
Open my soul to receive Him worthily.
Forgive me for the sins I have committed
since my last Confession,
and grant me the grace
to enter into this Holy Mass
with reverence, faith, and love.
Amen.
