Jesus teaches the crowds the Beatitudes and the way of true happiness.
The Story
Great crowds followed Jesus to hear Him teach. One day He went up a mountainside, sat down, and taught them the Beatitudes: 'Blessed are the poor in spirit… Blessed are those who mourn… Blessed are the meek… Blessed are those who hunger for justice.' He taught them to love their enemies, to pray the Our Father, and to seek first the kingdom of God.
The Lesson
Jesus' teaching turns the world upside down. Real happiness comes not from wealth or popularity, but from being close to God.
